X-MEGA
Is a development module based around the ATMEGA2560 microcontroller, with the same shape and hardware distribution of the Arduino MEGA R3, the X-MEGA is fully compatible with all the shields and official IDE of Arduino.
X-MEGA is a complementary piece, this means that in order to be programmed it is necessary to have a X-USB module with which to connect to the IDE of Arduino via your computer’s USB port.
Once you have program the final version of your code, the usage of the X-USB module is optional, due to the fact that you can keep it plug with the X-MEGA and use it as a power supply unit, optionally you can unplug it to instead use a conventional voltage regulator of 7 to 12 VCD.
Due to the versatility of the X-MEGA module it’s ideal for school as well as professional projects.
