The ESP32 has built-in Wifi and Bluetooth communication by default, but not LoRa. An SX127x or RFM9x LoRa transceiver adds support for LoRa and the LoRaWAN protocol that are needed for a LoRaWAN network.

The Semtech SX127x LoRa transceivers and the HopeRF RFM9x LoRa transceivers are identical. They come in different variants, depending on the target frequency band (433, 868 and 915 MHz). The frequencies that are used depend on the geographic region and the regulations of the local ISM band.

With this development card we include one of the most common sensors to start with projects focused on the internet of things, the DHT22 this sensor is already well known and there are examples on the internet based on the arduino platform.
